The internet made it easy to argue and hard to argue well. moggle is our answer: a place where the reward goes to whoever reasons best, under pressure, on a side they were handed, and where the verdict can always tell you why.

Why we're building this

Debate, treated like a sport

Almost everywhere you argue online, the loudest and most certain voice wins. Nuance loses to volume, and there's no scoreboard for actually being right. We think that's backwards.

moggle turns debate into something you can train and rank at, like chess, or climbing, or any craft with a ladder. Same format every time, an opponent at your level, and a result that rewards the argument instead of the attitude.

The goal isn't to win an argument on the internet. It's to get measurably better at making one.

You argue what you're given

Assigned sides build the muscle that matters: making the strongest honest case for a position, not just the one you already hold. It's harder, and it's the whole point.

A verdict you can inspect

An AI result you can't question is just an opinion with extra steps. Every point in moggle traces to a line you can read, and the math is fixed. You should always be able to see why you lost.

Every match should teach

A score that only says “you lost” teaches nothing. moggle tells you why the winner won and one thing to fix, so you leave sharper than you arrived.

Merit over noise

Ranked, side-blind, decided on the argument. No followers, no pile-ons, no home-field advantage. Just who made the better case.

Reasoning is a skill worth training

We're betting that if you make argument fair, fast, and rankable, people will want to get good at it. Reasoning under pressure, steelmanning the other side, listening closely enough to answer the actual point: these are exactly the skills a noisy internet is starving for.

Give them a scoreboard, and they become something you practice on purpose.

Where we're headed

The north star doesn't move

There's a lot to build from here: making the argument graph visible so you can study a match like a game replay, more formats, communities and ladders to climb, and a judge that keeps getting more transparent, never less.

But the north star stays fixed through all of it. The reward goes to the better argument.Everything we ship has to serve that.
